Entrepreneurial Business Award

26/06/2017 5:35 pm

We were thrilled and proud to win the “Entrepreneurial Business Award” at the recent Western Futures School & Business Partnership Dinner. Marino Uniforms won the award for “Outstanding Contribution to Education” which was sponsored by The University of Adelaide. We were very grateful to Thebarton Senior College who we have a long standing association with, as they nominated us for the award.

Marino Uniforms was recently asked to produce some unique shirts for a great cause. The Cora Barclay Centre who specialise in teaching deaf kids to speak held their annual LOUD SHIRT DAY on Friday 17th October, enlisting the help of Mark Ricciuto and Chris Dittmar to promote awareness. The colourful artwork on the front of the shirts were based on a painting by the children who attend the Cora Barclay Centre. Then Adelaide designer Greta Kate incorporated Roo’s shirt with “The Crows” sleeves and cuffs, and Ditts’ shirt has “Port Power” colours. Special mention must go to John Bannister from Burke Urban, and also a Cora Barclay Board Member, who enlisted Marino Uniforms to assist with this very worthwhile project. If you want more information on how to get involved with the wonderful work at the Cora Barclay Centre, please visit their website – www.corabarclay.com.au

Team member Lynn Bissi has had an impressive year. She has been instrumental in pushing our Sublimation Department sales above and beyond, and she has introduced a new netball dress to compliment our “team” sublimation range. Her enthusiasm for school wear has also brought about a huge change for Marino Uniforms, and we are now able to offer a larger range of off-shore items direct from China. Lynn also arranges uniforms for a large number of our corporate customers and is appreciated by everyone. Congratulations on the great year Lynn!

Tracy tells us she works “twice as hard” throughout the year – and it seems the management team have listened to her! So it was with much pleasure that Tracy was awarded “Staff Member of the Year” at our Christmas breakup celebrations. Tracy is well loved by staff and customers, always eager to assist, never afraid to tackle the difficult jobs, and always pushing her orders through and keeping up the pressure to ensure deadlines are met. She is a hard worker and always manages to keep a smile on her face. We have enjoyed her company from the day she walked through the door. Tracy, you are marvellous and we all love working with you.

New Charger Shirts

26/06/2017 5:31 pm

A new range of polo tops, jackets and shirts is now available in some bold colourways and the series also comes with matching caps. Your company or club will certainly make a statement and you will definitely want to incorporate your logo colours to match. We often get asked to find customers a coordinated range, that is not the traditional “formal” uniform and can be used for more casual functions where a business shirt and tie are out of place. The range incorporates royal, red & green as well as the colours shown here. Please speak to our friendly staff if you would like to look at samples for your company or club.

Fundraising For Charities

26/06/2017 5:29 pm

What would possess Tracy from our Sales Department to dress up in Drag and do a performance as a character from Priscilla Queen of the Desert – a good cause… That’s what! We often get asked to assist with our customer charity fundraising events and while it’s difficult to give money to ALL the worthwhile charities and fundraising groups out there, we will happily donate prizes of garments as door prizes and raffles, etc. Just let us know the date for your next fundraising or charity event and we will arrange some prize packs for you.
